COMPANY INTRODUCTION

BENZ-HMB CZECH a.s.

We supply advanced control and information systems (ACS) for industrial production processes, for which we use the name OPTIPA. For more than 20 years of our company’s existence we have developed and delivered several dozens of our systems. We primarily supply ACS for machines for the production or refining of endless belts and for dryers of kaolin, bentonite and other minerals and for dryers of food products.

Machines for production and refining of endless belts

The core functions of the ACS include measurement, visualization and control:

  • moisture
  • grammage
  • thickness
  • grammage of coatings

More detailed technical information is provided here.

Mineral dryers

The basic functions of the ACS include:

  • measurement, visualization and control of the output moisture of the dried material
  • optimization of dryer operation

More detailed technical information can be found here.

Our philosophy

“We only supply products and services that are based on the requirements and wishes of our customers, meet demanding quality criteria, bring high utility value to the customer (increase in quality, savings in energy and raw material costs, increase in operating profit) and at the same time are cost-effective.

In this way, we make a significant contribution to increasing our customers’ competitiveness and profitability.

Tailor-made solutions, unique solutions

We only propose solutions that fully meet the individual requirements of a particular customer and that solve their specific problems. In the case of non-standard customer requirements, we are able to develop and offer a solution that is unique and unavailable on the conventional market. For these reasons, we carry out the specification of the control system only after a detailed acquaintance with the customer’s needs and problems, their production and their products.

Quality, performance and maintenance

We develop and deliver our OPTIPA systems to deliver high quality and performance as standard, while requiring minimal maintenance. When commissioning a system, we provide basic training for customer personnel in system operation and maintenance. We provide ongoing support for our systems in a form chosen by the customer (after-sales service, extensions and modifications of the delivered systems, etc.). We make sure that our service is fast and highly qualified.

Economic benefits and returns

We aim to increase the efficiency of our customers’ production lines through our systems. In cooperation with the customer, we are able to estimate the expected increase in efficiency resulting from the implementation of our system. The return on investment for an OPTIPA system typically ranges from 0.5 to 3 years.

Use of existing customer equipment

We are able to create a system that builds on the customer’s existing measurement and control technology and contains only those components that are advantageous and useful to the customer.

Pricing

We supply our OPTIPA systems at prices that are favourable and acceptable even for small production units for which competitive solutions from foreign suppliers (if any) are unaffordable.

WE COOPERATE

We regularly cooperate with universities (University of Technology Prague, University of Science and Technology Pilsen, Technical University Liberec, University of Pardubice).

We cooperate extensively with the company RexControls s.r.o. from which we buy the control system (sw) Rexygen and with which we cooperate in the development of new applications.

We also cooperate with Ing. Antonín Lízr, CSc. OPTIPA control and information systems in many cases contain measuring instruments manufactured by the international company Nordson Measurement & Control Solutions (formerly NDC Infrared Engineering), which Ing. Antonín Lízr, CSc. represented for a long time in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In the development of our solutions, we can rely on the scientific and technical background of Nordson Measurement & Control Solutions (e.g. testing the possibility of reliably measuring new materials).
